Privacy policy

This policy describes the practices of Precision Collision Center, 521 Indiana Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95833. It is written in plain language rather than legalese, and it reflects what this website actually does.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form. That means: your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code; details about your vehicle and the damage to it; any photographs you choose to attach; and whatever you write in a message or notes field.

Our server also records the ordinary technical details that come with any web request, such as your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the page you submitted from, and the time. We use these to keep the site running, to spot abuse, and to answer your enquiry in context.

Why we collect it

To prepare your estimate, to book and confirm your appointment, to answer your question, and — where you have a claim — to communicate with your insurance carrier on your behalf. That is the whole list.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to lead-generation brokers. We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for an estimate.

Who else sees it

Only where it is necessary to do the job you asked for: your insurance carrier or their adjuster if you have a claim; a parts supplier if we need to source a specific component for your vehicle; and a financing provider if you apply for financing (they collect their own information directly and under their own policy). We share only what is needed for that purpose. The site itself is hosted by Vercel, and form submissions reach us by email through Resend and Google (Gmail). Those companies process the information on our behalf to run the site and deliver our email.

The chat assistant

The chat widget on this site is an automated assistant. What you type into it is sent to our server and, where the AI assistant is enabled, on to our AI provider in order to generate a reply. It is not a channel for sensitive information — please do not paste payment card details, a driver’s license number or anything similar into it. Use the phone number for that.

The assistant can be wrong, and it cannot quote your vehicle or commit us to anything. For anything binding, call 916-307-0695.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising cookies and does not run third-party ad trackers. Your chat conversation is kept in your own browser’s session storage so it survives moving between pages; it is cleared when you close the tab, and you can clear it at any time with the reset button in the chat window. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you personally. The map on our contact page is embedded from Google Maps, which sets its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy.

This site does not track you across other websites, so it does not change how it behaves when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

How long we keep it

Estimate and appointment enquiries are kept as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy our record-keeping obligations for completed repairs. If you would like your enquiry deleted and there is no repair record attached to it, ask us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 916-307-0695 or email precisionforcollisioncenter@gmail.com. If California privacy law (the CCPA/CPRA) applies to your request, we will handle it as that law requires. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page. Material changes will be noted at the top.
