Small damage is cheaper to fix early. Once a scratch goes through the clear coat, moisture gets to the primer, and corrosion under the paint stops being a cosmetic problem.
We repair the substrate, prime it, and refinish with computerized color matching, then blend into the panels either side so there’s no hard edge where new paint stops.
If it’s shallow enough to polish out, we’ll say so and charge accordingly. A lot of light scratches never need paint at all.
